Serena Williams reaches to Quareterfinals

Three times on a individual point, Serena Williams hit a serve that dressed the net cord before plopping into the service box for a let, a sequence that drew titters from the Centre Court crowd.

Other than there was no means to obtuse Williams on Wednesday. She hit 12 aces and repeatedly skyrocketed her ground-strokes past No. thirteen seeded Vera Zvonareva to win 6-1, 6-0 and reach the Olympic quarterfinals.
